52 in 52 #39 and #40
Here are the two latest finished objects, knit for a member of FUSP. Regretfully I can see that I'm not going to complete 52 items this year. I would have to do about one a day between now and New Years Eve and I just don't see that happening.

Long Time No See
It's been more than two months since I last posted. We've done some travel, I've had some adoption work and I've done some knitting. I have to say I'm no longer on track to complete 52 objects but I've finished a number of things since September.

#34 in 52 Soaker for Orion:
Not sure why this one is sideways and can't seem to fix it. Blogger works in mysterious ways.

By my count this brings me up to 35 finished objects in 48 weeks. I don't see any way to get to 52 before the year is out, but it's been fun trying.

52 in 52 Project #22
Another washcloth, this one for granddaughter #2. All three girls seem to really like them.
It's week #23 and I've finished 22 projects. I'm nearly done with the second rambling rows sweater so there is hope I'll be back on schedule by the end of Panera Knit Group on Saturday...

Still trying very hard to be current. This is week #23 according to my calendar. I'm two weeks behind but I have a number of UFO's that have the potential to "save my bacon." Let's see what happens...

Portland Visit
Here's a photo taken during our recent visit to Portland. The weather was kind of off and on. Rather chilly (for what we think is appropriate in May) and showers most of the time. We really enjoyed ourselves in spite of the damp. DH and I accompanied Becky and the kids to story hour and music class. I participated in swimming class. We went for lots of walks, out for pizza and enjoyed some wonderful dinners prepared by Linda. The kids are growing so fast, really very verbal and very active. I'm thrilled that they will be visiting the east coast at the end of August. I'm looking forward to taking them to the playground and to the pool.

The High Line
Saturday, May 1, we made a visit to The High Line in New York City. This park, built on an abandoned elevated rail line has been open for a while but we hadn't had a chance to visit. It was a beautiful day and we had a dinner date in the Village so we went into the city early and walked the entire length round trip. Here are some photos to give you an idea of how beautiful it is and how popular it has become.
No trip to a park would be complete without a session of knitting in public.

Trying Hard to Play Catch Up
According to my calendar this is week #18 of 2010. I'm two projects behind in my efforts to finish 52 in 52. I do have few almost finished works in progress, so there is hope for me. Here are some photos of what I'm working on.
Pinata Toddler Tank in Knit One Crochet Too's Ty Dye Cotton
Lace Baby Cardi
Rambling Rows Baby Sweater
If I can get two of these finished, I'll be up to date. Wish me luck.
